From Marketing to Mentorship: 15 Years of Dr. Shubhendra at Jaipuria
With 15 remarkable years of service at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, Dr. Shubhendra Singh Parihar stands as a seasoned academic leader, marketing educator, and thought-leader bridging academia and industry. His long and impactful journey was recently honoured with a Long Service Award, marking a decade and a half of dedication, innovation, and student mentorship.
Currently serving as Professor & Chairperson – Executive Education & Consulting, Dr. Parihar leads Management Development Programs (MDPs), consults with industry, and authors insightful case studies. His research spans consumer behaviour, social media marketing, and emerging business models, with publications in SCOPUS, WoS, and ABDC-ranked journals.
Over the years, he has held multiple key positions at JIML, including Dean of Student Affairs, Chair – Alumni Relations, Chairperson – Career Management Centre, and Chairperson – Admissions, leaving a lasting legacy in each role.
A passionate communicator, Dr. Parihar runs the "Business Shiksha" newsletter on LinkedIn and the YouTube channel "Business & Management", both aimed at demystifying business concepts for students and professionals.
A chemist-turned-marketer with degrees including an MBA, LLB, and PhD in Management, he brings both academic depth and real-world wisdom from his corporate stints with Cipla, Lupin, and Macleods.
