15th August 2024: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, celebrated 78th independence Day with a series of events that embodied the spirit of freedom and resilience. Under the theme "Let us Move to Tomorrow with the Freedom to Learn and Lead," the institute orchestrated a day filled with inspiring speeches, cultural expressions, and a deep reflection on our nation's journey.
The day began with a heartfelt assembly, bringing together students, faculty, and staff in a unified celebration of our nation’s freedom. The National Flag was hoisted by Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Jaipuria, Jaipur with pride, symbolizing the enduring spirit of our country.
The Director and Deans eloquently addressed the significance of independence in education, leadership, and research. Their speeches emphasized our collective responsibility to strive for excellence and uphold the values of freedom and innovation. Dr. Samar Sarabhai, Dean-Academics, Dr. Daneshwar Sharma, Dean - Student Affairs and Dr. Varun Chotia, Program Chair first year-PGDM General highlighted the importance of independence, reflecting its significance in the context of education, leadership, and economic progress. Their speeches served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold and advance the values of freedom and innovation.
The program also included a significant moment for the institute as the new Student Council for 2024 took their oaths during the Oath Ceremony. The alumni-led ceremony reinforced the importance of leadership and service, encouraging the new council members to lead with integrity and dedication.
Adding to the day’s significance, the Extracurricular Committee presented a powerful Cultural Program. The performances included a poignant skit depicting the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, a dramatisation of India's journey to independence, and moving portrayals of the hardships endured by the people during the struggle for freedom. These acts were not only educational but also emotionally stirring; bringing to life the sacrifices that shaped our nation.The program also featured captivating dance performances on beautiful patriotic songs, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and the unbreakable spirit of the Indian people.
The celebration culminated with a Vote of Thanks, where appreciation was extended to everyone who contributed to making the day memorable. The Independence Day celebration at Jaipuria, Jaipur was a fitting tribute to our nation, inspiring all to carry forward the values of freedom and unity.
