On 17th October 2024, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, hosted an interactive session with Mr. Bhaskar Ramesh, Director - Omnichannel Business, Google India, on the topic "India's Techade Your Decade." The event was well organised by the Placement and Corporate Relations Committee under the guidance of Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Srivastava (Chairperson, Placement and Corporate Relations Committee). The event was also graced by the presence of Dr. Sujit Patra, Dr. Upendra Nath Shukla, Dr. Anupam Saxena, Dr. Om Jee Gupta, Dr. Anubhav Mishra, and Mr. Arjit Mani Tripathi. The event was well coordinated by Mr. Aniket Mishra (Student Coordinator, Placement and Corporate Relations Committee) with the support of all Junior Representatives (CMC, Jaipuria Lucknow).

The session commenced with a warm welcome extended to the guest by the host: Mr. Nikhil Sharma (Junior Representative, Placement and Corporate Relations Committee) who introduced Mr. Bhaskar Ramesh to the audience. A Green Certificate was presented to the guest as a gesture of appreciation.

The event moved further with the address of Mr. Bhaskar Ramesh where he began by drawing interesting connections between popular culture and global trends, discussing HanumanKind's Big Dawgs and RRR's Naatu Naatu, illustrating how music connects the world.

He further spoke about the growth of Fintech, noting Google Pay's 46% adoption rate and its influence on digital transactions. He quoted that India will account for 40% of global GDP in the next 25 years, highlighting its role as both a major consumer and producer driving digital transformation.

He also spoke about how INDIA STACK, led by Aadhaar and ONDC, which catalyzes India's Digital First Government. Additionally, he discussed advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly DeepMind's Project AlphaFold, which has transformed protein folding studies and contributed to Nobel Prize-winning research.

He moved on his address stating AI as the third major technological shift, tracing Google's evolution from Google Transformer in 2017 to Gemini in 2024. He also shared insights into Google Lens's four search methods and the rise of YouTube Shorts, which has exceeded a trillion views in India.

He also discussed keeping a 10X mindset, encouraging participants to embrace failure as a stepping stone to success. He reiterated Google's mission to organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible.

The interactive session concluded with a Q&A round, where attendees had the chance to engage directly with Mr. Bhaskar Ramesh, deepening their understanding of technology's evolving role in various sectors.

The event closed with the presentation of a memento to Mr. Bhaskar Ramesh by Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Srivastava, expressing the institute's gratitude for his valuable insights.

The interactive session provided an enlightening experience, equipping students with knowledge about India's technological transformation and the future of business, fostering a broader perspective on digital innovation and global trends. It was worth noting that the session was aired live via zoom to benefit the students of our sister campuses in Noida, Jaipur & Indore as well.
