Paritosh Joshi earned his Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (Financial Management) from Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow in 1999. A commerce graduate from Lucknow University, Paritosh is passionate about the Finance and Banking sector and says, “Finance has always been my forte and banks are the best place to showcase your talent. I have always had an urge to learn and excel in life. Like any professional, I also had highs and lows, but adaptability to change makes you face up to all the uncertainties in life. Over the course of time I have mastered both Retail and Wholesale Banking methods and processes.”
At present, Paritosh is presently working in ICICI Bank Ltd. as Regional Head – Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand for the Corporate and Government Banking Group. He heads a team of five people and says with conviction that his journey so far has been enriching and rewarding. Paritosh is a stable and reliable employee; he hasn’t changed too many organisations in a career spanning over 13 years. He has learnt and developed his skills in each of his assignments and has several awards to his credit as well. He won the ICICI Bank Leadership Award 2012 and was awarded as a Leader for being the top exemplar in Chief Manager Band I Category for Collaboration and exemplar in Sensitivity (Both are the top DNAs in ICICI Bank’s Spirit of Leadership Policy). He also has the distinction of receiving the Citibank Global Quality Dividend Award for the year 2001 for an IWDW redesign project, which was picked as the best quality project by Citibank & e-Serve India, across the globe. A sterling career marks Paritosh’s achievements and he attributes all his successes to hard work. For his juniors at Jaipuria, he only has advice to offer on the value of knowledge and perseverance: “Knowledge makes you confident and there is no short-cut to success.”
The two years Paritosh spent at Jaipuria Lucknow were rewarding for him, both professionally and personally. . “What I remember most from those days is the learning that has been with me throughout my career and the batch-mates who have become a part of my life”. He believes in the network he built at Jaipuria and makes consistent efforts to stay in touch with his batch-mates through social networking sites and on the phone. He advises current youngsters to invest time and effort in these relationships. “Apart from learning constantly, one must value relationships in college.”
Success has not made Paritosh complacent – on the contrary, every achievement has only increased his zeal and enthusiasm. In the next five years, he wants to rise to be a Zonal head for one of the verticals of the wholesale banking group, and is working towards this goal with high spirits and full faith.
