Operations Workshop for PGDM Students- JIM Lucknow

The Jaipuria Institute of Management successfully conducted an Operations Workshop on 23rd March 2026, organized by the Department of Decision Sciences for first-year PGDM students specialised in the Operations field. The workshop aimed to provide practical insights into real-world optimization techniques and their applications in industry.

The session witnessed the presence of distinguished experts including Dr. Yogesh Agarwal (Distinguished Professor), Dr. Neeraj Gupta (Analytics Specialist), and Dr. Faiz Hamid (Associate Professor, IIT Kanpur), who shared their extensive knowledge and industry experience with the participants.

The workshop commenced with a welcome address, followed by engaging sessions on key topics such as Knapsack and Bin Packing Optimization, Constraint-Based Revenue Optimization Models, and Vehicle Routing Problems with applications in last-mile delivery systems. These sessions provided students with a deep understanding of how operations research techniques are applied in solving complex business challenges.

The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged active participation, allowing students to connect theoretical concepts with practical business scenarios. A lunch break facilitated networking and informal discussions among students and speakers.

The event concluded with a closing discussion and vote of thanks, leaving participants enriched with valuable knowledge and a stronger foundation in operations and analytics.
