The Orientation Program held at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, from July 8 to 13th was meticulously crafted to equip second-year students’ batch 2023-25 for the placement season. Over the week, students participated in an array of sessions facilitated by industry experts and professionals, each designed to advance career development and nurture personal growth.

Day 1: The first day began with registration, followed by a stimulating session on “Navigating the Journey: Embracing Failures, Celebrating Success, and Life Lessons” with Mr. Ayush Khanna, Director of Industry Relations Emisar, United Health Group. His perspectives shed light on the way forward, motivating students to tackle challenges, learn from failures, and persistently pursue success, a true reflection of learning and development.

Day 2: The following day began with an insightful session titled "Bridging the Gap: What Employers Seek in PGDM Graduates," by Mr. Rohit Thakur, Mr. Chandrakant Parmar and Ms. Aayushi Singh from GE Vernova. They emphasized the need for postgraduate students to stay updated with technological advancements and acquire relevant skills. The speakers urged students to seek opportunities to enhance their tech competencies to meet industry demands.

Day 3: Students delved around in an enlightening session on "The Role of Emotional Intelligence in Leadership," led by Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Head of Human Resources at Zeb Pay and Advisor to Startups, SCMHRD, Pune. Mr. Gupta illustrated the critical role of emotional intelligence in leadership by fostering a positive work environment, enhancing communication, emphasizing self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, and relationship skills for effective team management.

Day 4: The first session of the day titled "Leadership Insights: Navigating Your Path to Career Success," was facilitated by Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Dr. Samar Sarabhai, Dean Academics, Dr. Daneshwar Sharma, Dean Student Affairs and Dr. Ramzan Sama, Dean Research; offering invaluable guidance for achieving career milestones. The second session, "Success Blueprint: Fostering Resilience, Diligence, and Focus in the Corporate Arena," featured insights from industry leaders such as Mr. Marut Dilwari, CEO of Bharti Hexacom Rajasthan, and Mr. Alok Kumar, President of ManpowerGroup India, emphasizing these foundational principles.
 

Day 5: The day focused on “Company Expectations and Requirements”, led by Mr. Sandip Das, General Manager of Corporate Relations. Mr. Das provided insights to help students meet employer expectations and prepare effectively for their careers, emphasizing the importance of understanding what companies seek in potential hires.

Day 6: Orientation week concluded with the SIP Pitch event, where students delivered 3-minutes summary showcasing their internship learning and experiences. Esteemed guests and industry experts provided valuable feedback, enhancing students' presentation skills and fostering learning. The event was organized by the Career Management Center (CMC) and coordinated by the CMC and Program Management Center (PMC) teams, enriching the overall experience for participants.
