Praneta 2026: Shaping the Next Decade of Higher Education Together

Lucknow, 19 September 2026: Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow hosted Praneta 2026 – the Jaipuria Higher Education Leadership Summit at Hotel Novotel, Lucknow, bringing together academic leaders and representatives from 20 colleges and universities across the city.

Held under the theme “Shaping the Next Decade,” the summit provided a platform for academic leaders to exchange perspectives on the evolving higher education landscape, emerging challenges, institutional priorities and the changing needs of students. The summit also recognised the contributions of senior academic leaders and faculty members to the education sector.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sushma Vishnani, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, followed by the inaugural session led by Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice Chancellor, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, who was the Chief Guest.

Two thought-provoking panel discussions formed the core of the summit. The first, “Reimagining Higher Education for the Next Decade,” explored the need for curricula to evolve in response to technological advancements, changing global needs and emerging challenges such as climate change and antimicrobial resistance. The discussion also emphasised the importance of sustainability and humanity in education.

The second panel, “Building Future-Ready Institutions through Collaboration,” focused on the importance of institutional partnerships, academy-industry alignment, resource sharing and stronger human relationships. The discussion highlighted how collaboration and knowledge exchange can contribute to student employability and wider societal impact.

Speaking at the summit, Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal emphasised the need for institutions to embrace innovation, strengthen collaboration and remain focused on preparing students for a rapidly changing world. Dr. Sushma Vishnani highlighted that the challenges facing higher education extend beyond individual campuses and require institutions to come together to shape the future of learning.

The summit concluded with a Reward and Recognition Ceremony, felicitating academic leaders and faculty members for their contributions to higher education and acknowledging their role in shaping academic communities and student outcomes.

Praneta 2026 was a meaningful step towards fostering dialogue, collaboration and collective thinking among Lucknow’s higher education institutions, with a shared focus on shaping a more future-ready education ecosystem.
