The 12th Convocation Ceremony at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore took place at the institute’s auditorium on June 22, 2024. The event was graced by the presence of Neetu Kashiramka, MD and CFO of VIP Industries. The ceremony included an academic procession, lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and an inspiring address by Sharad Jaipuria, Chairman of the Board of Governors.

The convocation ceremony commenced at 10 am with the academic procession reaching the convocation venue – institute front lawns. The procession was led by the Program Chair Dr Sharad Chaturvedi. He was followed by the faculty members, the graduating students of PGDM Batch 2022-24, and then the Chief Guest Neetu Kashiramka, with Sharad Jaipuria, Chairman, Board of Governors, Shreevats Jaipuria, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors, and Dr. Deepankar Chakrabarti, Director, JIM-Indore.

The ceremony witnessed the invocation and declaration of the convocation ceremony being opened by Shri Sharad Jaipuria. “As we gather here today to celebrate the culmination of your two-year journey in pursuit of excellence, I am filled with a sense of pride and admiration. Your dedication, perseverance, and relentless pursuit of knowledge have brought you to this momentous occasion, and it is with great pleasure that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of you,’’ said Shri Sharad Jaipuria.

“As you step out of the formal learning environment, and most of you start your corporate careers, there will be no curriculum, exams, or grades. Every day is likely to provide a different challenge. In this context, it is important for you to remain focused on what you are trying to achieve and remain patient and undeterred by adverse circumstances,’’ added Shri Sharad.

Addressing the students, Director of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indore, Dr Deepankar Chakrabarti, said - “Today on this significant day, 171 young minds are being conferred with their Post Graduate Diploma in Management in acknowledgment of their commitment, relentless efforts, and perseverance with which they successfully earned this important milestone. Dear graduating batch students, I hope that the learnings derived from the PGDM program will benefit you both, in career and life.”

Dr Deepankar Chakrabarti, presented the comprehensive Annual Report for the academic year 2023-24. Through the report, the Director shared the events of the past academic year, highlighted the new benchmarks achieved, national and international accreditation initiatives, new practices introduced for achieving excellence in academics, industry interface, student development and research, and enhancement of the institute's existing infrastructure capacity.

He also shared a recent recognition by the state government and the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Innovation Council and Startup India team that serve as a testament to the dedication and hard work of the Indore team and the impact made in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Shri Shreevats Jaipuria said - “As you step out into the world beyond these walls, you are entering a landscape shaped by unprecedented challenges and opportunities. The global economy is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by technological advancements, geopolitical shifts, and the aftermath of the recent pandemic. While these changes present uncertainties, they also offer new prospects for innovation and growth.”

Diplomas Conferred

Diplomas were conferred on 171 graduating students and meritorious students were awarded Chairman’s Gold, Vice Chairman’s Silver, and Director’s Bronze medals. It was followed by an oath-taking ceremony led by Dean Academics – Dr. Romi Sainy. She presented the 171 graduating students to the dignitaries for awarding the PGDM diplomas.

Alumni Recognition

The ‘Distinguished Alumni Award 2023-24’ award was presented to Piyush Kumar. A member of the institute’s alumni community, Piyush made constant progress in his career and supported the alma mater in developing and achieving a positive and futuristic vision.
