Jaipuria’s Theme Extravaganza Takes Center Stage at Lucknow Campus!

The Lucknow campus of Jaipuria Institute of Management was a kaleidoscope of creativity. On July 23, 26 and 31st Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities were held and the students donned costumes—some whimsical, others reminiscent of childhood favorites—the air crackled with anticipation. The event was organised under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Rashmi Chaudhary (Dean, Student Affairs). It was expertly coordinated by Student Development Council 2024. Here are the details of the activities:

 

Let’s Find the Brand

Let’s Find the Brand was organized by the Domain Forum Committee-Marketing, which was organized under the guidance of Dr. Reeti Agarwal (Area Chair, Marketing) and well-coordinated by Ms. Nishtha Awasthi (Senior Member – Marketing, Domain Forum Committee. The activity was a creative quiz on different brands. The participating teams need to figure out the brand by the illustrations of their team member. Upon qualifying for the first round, the participants were to guess the brand through jingles. The enthusiasm of students was evident from the number of participants in the quiz.
 

Artistry on Glass: A Glass Painting Competition

The Cultural Committee organized ‘Artistry on Glass: A Glass Painting Competition’. It was organized under the guidance of Dr. Anjali Tiwari (Faculty Coordinator, Cultural Committee) and was well coordinated by Ms. Akanksha Kumari (Senior Member – Cultural Committee), Ms. Anushka Agarwal (Student Coordinator – Cultural Committee) We witnessed the activity where students poured out their creativity onto glass sheets crafting various elements of nature as per the theme ‘Nature’s Reflections’. It was a fun-filled activity for the students to let their creative juices flow freely.

 

Snapshot and Stories

The Media Relations Committee organized “Snapshot and Stories”, under the guidance of Dr. Reeti Agarwal (Faculty coordinator, Media Relations Committee) and well-coordinated by Ms. Avi Singh (Student Coordinator, Media Relations Committee), Ms. Anshika Verma and Mr. Yuvraj Singh Bhadauriya (Senior Members, Media Relation Committee). The students meticulously captured the vibrant essence of our co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, freezing moments in time with their keen eyes for detail. Meanwhile, our content writers skillfully narrated these moments, weaving together captivating stories that brought the images to life. This collaboration not only documented the events but also showcased the dynamic energy and spirits, creating a vivid and lasting impression for all who experienced it.
 

Debate Duo

The next event was Debate Duo which was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Chaudhary (Dean, Student Affairs) and was well coordinated by Ms. Rupi Chaddha (President – Student Development Council) and Mr. Sagar Shukla (Vice President - Student Development Council). The activity was evaluated by Dr. Ashutosh Pandey (Associate Professor) and Dr. Harshit Kumar Srivastava (Assistant Professor).

 

In this activity students were randomly paired up with each other and given a topic to debate, with each in pairs of two. We had opinions ranging from Technology, Ethics, and Profitability to Sustainable, etc. It gave refreshing perspectives on the given topics.

 

8 Ball Pool Doubles

The Sports Activity kicked off with 8 Ball Pool, which was organized under the guidance of Dr. Hemendra Gupta (Faculty Coordinator, Sports and Wellness Committee) and well-coordinated by Mr. Sumoksh Dwivedi (Senior Member, Sports and Wellness Committee). The excitement and energy filled the room with competition. It was a team event therefore teams comprised of two players in each team competing against each other.

 

The sound of balls striking and the emotions of teams echoed in the room. The finest of the two teams advanced to the finals, delivering a match that left a lasting impression on the spectators.

 

Table Tennis Doubles

The second event in line was Table Tennis and which was organized under the guidance of Dr. Hemendra Gupta (Faculty Coordinator, Sports and Wellness Committee) and well coordinated by Mr. Shashank Singh (Senior Member, Sports and Wellness Committee). The environment was filled with the players' enthusiastic shouts and the rhythmic clatter of rackets against the table tennis ball. Their emotions were vividly reflected on the table as the match progressed. It was a team event, with each team facing their opponents in elimination rounds. The winning teams advanced to the next stage. The finals culminated in a spectacular display of table tennis prowess.

 

Carrom Doubles

The next event of the day was Carrom, which was organized under the guidance of Dr. Hemendra Gupta (Faculty Coordinator, Sports and Wellness Committee) and well coordinated by Mr. Shrey Kumar Gupta (Senior Member, Sports and Wellness Committee).

 

It was a team event where a team of two players competed against their opponents. It kick-started with players showcasing their aiming skills with strikers. Every team was eager to pot as much carrom coin as they could. The finals of Carrom witnessed sportsmanship spirit and extraordinary play.

 

Badminton Doubles

Sports Activity would be incomplete without an electrifying game of Badminton. The next activity organized was Badminton, which was organized under the guidance of Dr. Hemendra Gupta (Faculty Coordinator, Sports and Wellness Committee) and well coordinated by Mr. Sudhanshu Tiwari (Senior Member, Sports and Wellness Committee) in the male category and by Ms. Monika Tiwari (Senior Member, Sports and Wellness Committee) in the female category.

 

The activity was organized into two categories: Male and Female. Each team, consisting of two players, competed against their opponents in an elimination format, with the winning team advancing to the next round. Both categories were effectively managed and played simultaneously. The event featured exhilarating shots and smashes, providing an adrenaline rush for all who witnessed the matches.

 

Badminton Doubles

Bright Mind Challenge

On 31 July 2024, Student Welfare and Disciplinary Committee organized Bright Minds Challenge under the guidance of Dr. Rashmi Chaudhary (Dean, Student Affairs), and was well coordinated by Mr. Ritick Chauhan (Student Coordinator, Student Welfare and Disciplinary Committee) and Mr. Saksham Agrahari (Senior Member, Student Welfare and Disciplinary Committee). The performances were judged by Dr. Jyoti Dewan (Faculty Coordinator, Incubation Committee).

 

In this activity participants had to present an act as a team on the theme of ‘Discipline’. Students displayed beautiful coordination and creativity through their acts. Many management lessons were given by this activity.

 

Understanding Marketing & Finance

On 31st July 2024, The Domain Forum Committee organised Understanding Marketing & Finance. The event was well organized under the guidance of Dr. Arti Chandani (Faculty Coordinator, Domain Forum Committee- Finance) and was coordinated by Ms. Nishtha Awasthi (Senior Member, Domain Forum Committee-Marketing) and Mr. Akshat Jain (Senior Member, Domain Forum Committee-Finance).

 

This activity was a doubt solving session through two interactive quizzes. The students displayed their wits and enthusiasm in solving the quizzes and learned along the way about the respective specialisations.

To conclude, the Co-curricular and Extra-curricular activities at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow fostered student creativity, teamwork, and engagement, leaving participants with enriched experiences and renewed enthusiasm for future endeavors. The activities were a resounding success, offering a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents across a variety of activities and sports. The activities were filled with energy, excitement, and memorable moments, reflecting the true essence of sportsmanship, skills, communication, and teamwork.
